WHAT ARE YOU SOWING?

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due
season we shall reap, if we faint not." Gal. 6:9

The Bible is full of great principles to live by! Like in Prov. 11:24, "There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than meet, but it tendeth to poverty." Wow, God is telling us that selfishness and hoarding is stealing our blessings! Every farmer knows that seed corn left in the shed doesn't grow one stalk. Are you sowing with your life the seeds of kindness, mercy, compassion, grace, longsuffering, friendship, joy, honesty, and etc.? The Bible then teaches, Gal. 6:7, "be not deceived God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Wow, God is telling us that corn produces corn; beans, beans; and etc. We can not sow thistles and expect to reap grapes. Sin may seem to be an easy and fun crop, but once it bears its fruit, it will be unpleasant. We've learned now to be unselfish, precise, and, listen to this: II Cor. 9:7, "...so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver." God is telling us to have a proper attitude. When we obey, we should do what we're told, when we're told, and with a right attitude. A bad attitude can dampen even the best of service. How we serve is important to God. Finally, look at Prov. 11:25, "The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." As you are giving away your life and watering others, guess who also receives a soaking?
