CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES! - Part II

"Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest
not what a day may bring forth." Prov. 27:1

Last week we were looking at four (4) "wise guys" that God tells us are exceedingly wise. They are teachers of valuable lessons to mankind. The ant is an example of how one can turn their weakness into a strength by proper preparation. One of the Devil's greatest lies targets the procrastination of man, by telling us, we have another day! The conie was the second of God's creation to teach us how important the Rock Christ Jesus can be in our lives to give us freedom and liberty. This week we come to the third of God's creation, the locust. The locust teaches us the importance of God's family, and the power of unity. Did you know that 3 inch desert locusts unite together, to become a 225 ton swarm? They realize the power and safety in working together. Believers who refuse to be a part of the local New Testament church will find that they are lacking the wisdom found in these locusts. Lastly we find in Prov. 30:28, the spider. It tells us that the spider is in the most unexpected place, a King's palace. This is a picture of a sinner like myself, in that nobody would ever expect to find me in heaven. How does a sinner like Earl Beal get to heaven? The same way anyone does, through the provision God made in His Son Jesus Christ. "Listen" to this poem I found one day: I dreamed death came the other night, and Heaven's gates swung wide; With kindly grace, an angel ushered me inside. And there to my astonishment, stood folks I'd judged and labeled, as unfit, or of little worth --- Indignant words rose to my lips, But never were set free; For on every face showed stunned surprise --- No one had expected ME! Let's not turn away the "Gift" of everlasting life that God has offered to us at HIS expense!

Thanks and God bless! Pastor Earl Beal
