Have you ever heard someone say,
"I have my faith and you have yours?"

It's almost as if any old faith is o.k. whether it gets them to heaven or not. Sorry, you can call me picky or whatever, but I have no desire to just be religious with no concern for the final destination. It makes no sense to me to be the most religious man in hell. I guess you might compare it to the person who just wants a car. I want one that runs! Excuse me if I'm too serious, but eternity is a long time to live out a mistake. Just any faith, or a faith in faith, is very dangerous. See, faith is no stronger than the object it's placed in. If my faith is in myself, my church membership, my baptism, etc., then I'm in trouble. Rom. 3:22, "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ." Our good works cannot justify us before God. We need the righteousness of Jesus Christ that comes by total 100 percent faith in Him. To totally trust Jesus means to totally untrust anything else. Then we can sing "To God be the Glory, great things HE hath done." Jesus Christ is not to be added to a list of things like a combination lock: one to Jesus, back to self, and forward to church membership. No, Jesus is the way to the Father in heaven. Yes, the old hymn "Jesus Saves" is still true today. When I placed my faith in Jesus, I also knew others needed Him too. For God so loved the world, not just Earl.
