WHAT IN THE WORLD??"...be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed The Word of God is very clear in teaching us to be careful to whom we turn our minds and bodies over to. A wise person does not give their minds over to Satan and his influences. Our walk and actions resemble those we let mold our lives. The Word of God says in Prov. 5:23 "to keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." When we allow perverted and polluted information into our minds, we can be sure that garbage will come out. Gal. 6:7 specifically states that "...for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." We can only make decisions based upon what we know. The Psalmist knew the importance of learning the Word of God, so that he could draw from it during the course of life. Ps. 119:11 says, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." A man doesn't wait until he's thirsty to dig a well, but prepares the well in the time of opportunity. The Psalmist used Scripture as a guide in Ps. 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." He placed great value and profitability in God's law as we see in Ps. 119:127 "Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold." He enjoyed the fruit of God's way in Ps. 119:103 "How sweet are thy words unto my taste!" The Psalmist knew that God was the potter and he was the clay. He desired to be a vessel shaped by the Savior's love as in Ps. 119:73 "Thy hands have made me and fashioned me." That's a fashion statement that will never be outdated for all eternity!
