TRUST BRINGS FREEDOM"...and whoso trusteth in the Lord, The happiest day of any person's life is when he TRUSTS Jesus Christ as Savior. It is the day that we realize how foolish it is to trust man; when we can place our trust in an ALL-knowing, ALL-powerful, ALL-present, ALL-loving God. What a blessing it is to turn over our life's needs, burdens, and decisions, to one who can make all things work together for good. In Prov. 3:5, we find that the key to trust is the object. "Trust in the LORD...", not in our abilities, charisma, charm, finances, or knowledge, but in the Lord. If a marriage is held together by looks, wit, or convenience, then it's on shaky ground. How safe to have a spouse that loves the Lord so much that they would never be unfaithful to God. Families that trust in the Lord, can keep their minds on the job, not on their problems at home, avoiding accidents. Prov. 3:5 goes on to say, "and lean not unto thine own understanding". We find here that we should look to God's Word which has all of the answers to life; but we have the choices! It's like when I go to my tax man; and for just a few dollars, I can have all of his knowledge and degrees working for me. There's also the postman, who I can put to work for the price of a stamp, to carry a letter, by Jeep, plane, or train, to my daughter in California. Trust is turning over complete control and confidence to someone. No matter what the problem, we refuse to be troubled, but marvel as we watch God work in our lives. Prov. 3:6 goes on to say, "In ALL thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths". Who are you listening to and depending on? Why look anywhere else, when you can look to God? Thanks!
