A STINGLESS DEATH!

"O death, where is thy sting? O grave,
where is thy victory?" I Cor. 15:55

How great it is to rejoice in the fact, that we can be set free from the verdict of the law! I Cor. 15:56 reaffirms our position of "guilty before God" with the 10 Commandments by stating, "The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law." It clearly tells us where God found us, and how fortunate, that we are able to be set free by the grace of God. II Cor. 8:9 so clearly says, "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for YOUR sakes' he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich." So many people know about Jesus and that He was crucified on an old rugged cross; but it surprises me how many fail to know why He had to die. So many know the story and are touched by the compassion and love, yet never realize that they must take the head knowledge and by faith place their trust in Him as Savior. I Cor. 15:57 says, "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." How clear God has made salvation, yet how subtle Satan can be by adding to Jesus, and perverting the gospel. If we trust Jesus, plus anything else to save us, then we're not trusting Jesus totally as our Savior. We would be making Jesus a co-redemptive with whatever was added to Him. If a person trusted Jesus, plus their good works for salvation, they would be sharing the glory of God's Son. They would be making themselves a co-redemptive. Listen carefully to Is. 42:8, "I am the Lord; that is my name: and my glory I will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."
