LIFE WITH TRUE PURPOSE!

"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive
glory and honor and power:..." Rev. 4:11

One of the great evidences of real conversion, is the personal attachment one has for the Lord Jesus Christ. We no longer want to curse Him, but we want to praise Him. We do not just know Him with our head, but also with our hearts. Once we learn about the great substitional death of Christ on the cross of Calvary, and how He was buried and rose again the third day for our sins, we then take that knowledge and receive the free gift of salvation by faith in Jesus. That's when we experience the real purpose in our life and learn in the last half of Rev. 4:11, that God "hast created ALL things, and for thy (Christ's) pleasure they are and were created." Once we receive that peace with God that comes through our Lord Jesus Christ, we're told in Rom. 5:1, then we DO care how we live and we DO want to live a life that brings glory and honor to our Savior. We want to pattern our lives after Christ, not to try and earn salvation (which can't be earned), but because we've received salvation through His work. An example of wisdom is found in Prov. 30:9. It speaks of two places this man does not want to be. Why? Because he is afraid that he might be too weak and fail God in those places of temptation. One is being too poor. He said, "I might steal and take the name of my God in vain." The second is too rich. He said that he might say, "Who is the Lord?" As a Christian, we need to be looking ahead at places that we might be weak and stumble. Do you love the Lord enough that you would ask NOT TO BE RICH, because you know that few can be rich and God fearing? Don't draw a line IN sin, draw it FROM sin!
