HOW TO BE "IN"

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday,
and to day, and for ever." Heb. 13:8

Parents, have you pulled down your High School Yearbook, or old family album lately, only to have your children split a gut laughing at the styles, doos, and fashions that at the time seemed so IN and "COOL"? Little do they know that it won't be long until their children will also find them outdated. The world is deceived by the father of lies, Satan. He loves to divide and lead this world into a forever changing and prideful place. If you do not intensely chase after the fashion statements of this world daily, you will feel left out and shunned. The world is constantly changing, so that you are never content. This makes for insecure and gullible souls. Let me tell you about one who was in YESTERDAY, is in TODAY, and will be in FOREVER; the one who dressed down in fashion, for our benefit! Phil. 2:8 "And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." He is referred to by King David many times as a ROCK! Ps. 89:26 "...Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation." In Matt. 7:26, Jesus speaks of the foolish man who built his house upon the sand. Sand speaks of unstable, forever changing and undependable substance. The wise man in vs. 24, built his house upon a rock, a solid, stable, unchanging and secure substance. Christ is an unchangeable, secure and victorious lifestyle that will never leave us or forsake us for something better or improved. Jesus Christ has always been the only one to build our lives upon. Ps. 1:4 describes Satan's way in this manner, "The ungodly are not so but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away." Vs. 5, "Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment," Vs. 6, "...But the way of the ungodly shall perish." Godliness is always in style with God!
